Carey Gibbons
Carey is pursuing her Ph.D. in Victorian illustration at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. She loves fantasy worlds of various kinds, including both illustrated books and window displays. Urban Glassworlds is inspired by the work of photographers such as Lee Friedlander and Eugene Atget. Although the photographs attempt to document the innovation and creativity of the window displays, they also attempt to capture the transient sparkles and reflections of the city, hopefully evoking a sense of wonder and delight.
